Hi ... I need help, and am afraid I may have made a mistake I just set up an LLC for my company ... I am starting a micro=green farm I will be selling "live" hydroponic microseeds we bought a house and want to register as a farm in PA I own 6 acres in WVA and want to start raising alpacas. What are the requirements for this to be considered a farm for tax purposes? My daughter and son-in-law just purchased a approx. 30 acre farm in Bradfordsville, Ky. We will be raising produce and chickens OK. Other than the ein which all the rest of the licenses and permits would be obtained through the State or county, correct?

If you decide to set up a corporation, you will also need a set of bylaws which are the internal rules to govern a corporation. Bylaws come with purchase of incorporation and included in price. Using your last family name in the business name allows you to not having to get a DBA certificate. You could however register a DBA to prevent others from registering your business name even if that is your name. Johnson painting co for example can be registered by anyone so register it first. Keep in mind, most home based businesses are not allowed to post commercial signs and accept many client visits or commercial deliveries of merchandise in most neighborhoods.
Note that even if you lease personal property, you will need a sales tax id reseller number to collect state sales tax. Unprepared food when bought is not taxable in most states. However, if you sell prepared food, you will need a resale ID to collect sales tax when you sell food. If you are a service such as plumbing, you will still need a reseller tax number for the parts that you include in your service such as the pipes used because these are taxable.
An llc or corporation is a state created legal entity. It is like a person in papers only. If you set up an llc you will be a member of it but not the LLC itself.
Independent contractors work on a contract basis and the person receiving the service does not pay employmen taxes for these contractors.  
 
More: Note that even small online or home businesses need a business license and a fictitious business trade name if a trade name is used.; If you make any sales of any items that are touchable such as a shirt or a chair, you will need to obtain a resale tax id number.; If you will hire employees, you need two employer identification numbers: one federal tax id ein and a state tax id number ein.; A business permit is a business tax registration based on the number of employees, business location, gross income and type of business.; Generally, if you have any partners, you will need a federal ein irs number and a trade firm name registration.; A fictitious business name is required if you use a trade name however, you can fulfill the requirement by forming an llc or incorporating.; If you decide to form an LLC, you will need an llc certificate and an llc agreement. Hi I have my EIN number but I was told in Arizona my next was to file online for Transaction Privilege Tax next and wait four weeks until that arrives in the mail upon arrival I take it down to the City Licenses building show them a paid for TPT paper and have my Business license filled out. Then I pay for the other part in full and within 24!to 48 hours I'll be licensed Business. Now am I able to do it all on this site 100% legit? Please let me know, thanks!

I paid for my DBA already about a month ago. I will be providing to individuals/families/groups for personal and or professionals. No Selling or buying. I will be offering services and I will be the sole proprietor. 

I am wanting to know how to file for a DBA in LeFlore County? we sell wholesale, and they are asking for a wholesale license, can you tell me is that the seller permit?

I'm looking for a list of qualification I need to open a small business please? And I would like to look at a business license form to see what all I would have to fill out please.

What is required to get a business license? If I create a business do I still have to give my SS # anywhere? I want to sell items at flea markets in Arizona- what type of license do I need?

1. I need to obtain a wholesale Id number so that I can buy wholesale. I do not currently have a business of my own but I would like to buy wholesale so that I can make things to sell. Please tell me exactly what I will need to do to get this step by step, and what is the price of this?
